Christmas Time

What is more wonderful than Christmas time and all around that! This week has been busy busy, you gotta meet all friends before vacations, send Christmas cards and packages  to dear and loved ones. I have many friends all over the world, so I gotta keep my calendar up to everyone get presents on time. Also this is the time when most baking and fine food cooking will be done, and lets not forget Christmas dinners/drinking with company. This year's company partying I wore this.
And we were at Wallmans, nice musical type of show.

Inspiring! They sang Beatles, U2... This my favorite U2 song : In A little While

Lots of has happened this year, my writing stopped little bit while I have to take care of my foot, which I still show at physiotherapist. Lot is better, I am sure I will run next year and start one of my fave hobbies; jogging while that is right now yoga my main inspiration.

It seems right now that we get white Christmas, only bad thing is that my little car.

He is not so big fan of snow, more likely Monte Carlo weather. My Christmas hobby is singing out loud in my car Christmas songs.
I am flying back home on this week and will be enjoying friends and family, cannot wait. My only commercial Christmas wish this year was Ipad 2, we'll see what happens. I hope Santa is not too busy :P

Here are my this time around favorites:

Favorite Laugh

Favorite shoes(just dreaming)

Favorite dessert

Favorite hair

Favorite nail polishes (okey I cannot choose)
Happy Holidays Everyone!! Hope you'll all have great one and most important that you spend it with your loved ones! Here is a pic of my home made gingerbread house ;)

"Taxi is on his way"

This is the message I get to my mobile every morning now. No I am not crazy or rich, but yes I have hurt my leg and need some assistance. Now it is almost month ago, when this happened

I was walking from work and BAM walked wrong and bend my ankle. It was not broken said hospital, but it hurt! So I got sick free two weeks and after that 50% at work plus taxi that I am driving back and worth everyday now. It is great way to get work, but I don't like this part that I am stuck with my walking sticks and I am more on the way than helpful (poor boyfriend). Forward, said Napoleon when attacking England. So I am getting better everyday, it is strange how the body heals everything, at least almost everything. But back to the taxi. I have a favorite taxi driver now. I don't know his name but he has been really nice and wanted to be my "everyday" driver, he asked me once when driving me to work would I like him to drive back from work too. Why not, before this I had been calling everyday twice to taxi service, so this would make my life easier too. He is not just any usual taxi driver, first I have to say that Norway has 90% taxi drivers coming from out of the land and my driver is one of them. He looks more like this

Hahahaha, I know. This was my first impression of him. He is really nice man, from India (yes, we talk different stuff on taxi like back-ground and family). He drives the turban on his head and his taxi is this fancy Land Rover. I think he is funny appearance, every time I come to taxi he says welcome to taxi and is very polite.

When he gave me his taxi cell phone number and said call me whenever you need taxi, I knew we became friends ;) I named him Osama Taxi on my cell phone, when calls that 'taxi is on the way' and text Osama taxi calling comes to my mobile display I giggle inside me :D The small things in life, makes it worth it!
Otherwise I was bloooooody bored when I was laying home, foot up to roof. So I had to come some fun stuff too; playing guitar, playing wii, reading , reading and reading but I also found some new fun bands. Here is one that you have to listen, they are new band from Australia. I love this song.

Reading that I recommend

And her shows are sooo funny. She is the most daring person!

After these very important news I'll let everyone have a nice weekend ( I am off to Katie Melua concert, yeah with my walking sticks) and admire my "bunad" national dress :O

Have a great one!

Easter ease!

Two months can go fast, and in this case it did. Spring is here with all nice skirts, shirts and tops plus the minuses waxing legs, taking care of bikini line, pollen allergies and getting used to sun without getting headaches. I believe living under the sun 12 months/year, not three months/year. It takes too long to get the used to all the light and then it's gone again.

Best things that I know is early mornings, when the grass is still wet and all smell so fresh in the spring, also late nigths with pretty sunsets gets my points.

But before summer comes Easter and 17th. of May (Independence Day of Norway). On Easter I'm traveling to homeland, Finland. Packing a lot of good Easter reading and when coming back my suitcase is full of licorice (Panda!), Moomin soda and sisu&mynthon drops. When it comes to reading I can recommend these books (some of them giving me huge impacts, some of them total relaxment modus):

This is all about one night stands, written funny way, makes grey days worth it!

about making your dreams come true, you can get up from real low!

Brutaly honest, sad but realistic!

Other thing that makes me worried about Finland is politics. Last Sunday Finland had election, Finland has adapted American style to the voting and election day- you could see real fights and terrorisim of parties against others. One of the disappointing winners was Finnish folkparty. Sounds fair enough, party to the people. But what I find scary, they might be little bit too much into Finland and Finnish people. We might get problems of other nations move to the country and goodbye "pakkoruotsi" compulsery Swedish. HELL YEAH, says a teenager at junior high school when Swedish feels like real "pakkopulla" pain in the ass. But this is nothing more than saying goodbye to Nordic enviroment and important business that we have between other Nordic countries and understanding each other. Finland is still set in Sweden and Norway as the "takapajula" nowhere land, and this surely does not help the situation. Other things likes abortion, lets not even talk about it- says the leader of Finnish folkparty. Goodbye green and international Finland!

this is how my dress looks like
About 17.Mai. I am finally going to be in Oslo and I have gotten "bunad" national dress to the Independence Day of Norway. This day is all fun, good breakfast, going around the city on parade waving my little Norwegian flag. And going around with a dress that costs a fortune (which I got ;)).

One more thing about Easter if you really really get bored try to download these to your mobile:

Happy Easter//God Påske//Hyvää Pääsiäistä!!

Getting wiser

I had birthday yesterday. Wonderful day free from work and without stress, wrong this is the day that you HAVE to do something. You want it to be special, not like all the other days, you want do something new, see something new, since this of all days is your birthday, god damn it. Also you can find stressful that you are getting older, thinking what did I do last birthday, have you learned something, since you are supposed to get older and wiser. In my case, I find it pretty scary that 19 year-old-girls can be as much known with life as I am. I met during my summer work, girl who was around 19 and she was really wise girl, knew some stuff better than I did and had been working at least five different jobs. That makes me wonder, what did I do before 19, that I couldn't be so wise that this girl was.

As years go by, I have become more calm but not really stress free. I can think stuff clearly and not just sit with it and wonder what should I do. I have learnt to speak out and ask help. One of the greatest sources of asking help is friends, of course there is professional people for everything, but friends are what I think everyone needs to get through this life. I have also become more grateful of my friends. When you move a a lot from country to country like I have done, the most amazing thing is to get to know wonderful personalities and people but also hold on to the old ones!

Yesterday I read Facebook birthday messages written to me from all over the world and it really hit me that these are the people whom I have collected during my journey of life. I had nice day otherwise too, my boyfriend took me to eat at Italian restaurant, ordered some champagne while I was in the restrooms and wanted me to feel like a princess. Afterwards we saw a theatre play 'Fanny and Aleksander' at the National Theatre of Oslo, which meant so much to me since I am such a drama person :D Maybe the best present though was when he ha written me his home made poem, just to me! Now this is getting cheesy so I'll let the pictures speak and at the end, that heart is for all of you, whom I heart so dearly!
Not so much wiser but at least older!

Music taste

why is it so hard to agree when it comes to music? I like pop/rock/soul/r'n'b almost anything except hard heavy metal music no thanks. At work I can easily listen to NRJ. Which is totally commercial radio channel, but that's the music you want hang with on work. Not too much 'listen to the words' stuff or too meaningful that you either fall asleep or start to cry. I think music is like perfumes, some songs go with other days and sometimes you don't want to hear them at all. And music creates memories. That Sia song Breath me gives me always chills and I start to think little village Honningsvåg and people I used to listen this song there with. Then that other song gives the sadness of some moments you would so surely like to live again or not...

I have been a Hanson (yes MMMBop) fan since day one they started to play, posters all over the walls, been to more than one concert etc. I still can listen to them and remember those sweet teenage years. Now that I am "grown-up" music is still very important part of my life, but not in the way that I get totally hooked on one person or band that I would start to stalking them, but in the way that you can get star trucked about how talented someone is to write, sing and play. I do not understand people who judge other people's music taste. Let's say that I don't like heavy metal type stuff but I still don't go around and talk shit about it. Many times I felt that if I said " I like Hanson" people would laugh or add some comments, eventually I felt " Okey I just keep it to myself". That way I did not feel judged. Anyways, people who judge other people are going to be narrow minded rest of their lives if they don't understand to turn the other side of the jacket and see less black and white. That reminds me the song color blind, beautiful song. Listen and enjoy my downloaded videos that get me going, sentimental or just pure happy! Next week, new stuff to read. Stay tuned, until then let's stay open minded :o)

Sunday 30. January 2011

Time is flying. Already end of January, my birthday is about 14 days. I am going to be 27, that is some kind of middle age. It's not anymore half ways to 50 it is less than that... My birthday wishes ( you can ask me the address if you want to send something to me, thank you ;) ) - new mobile (I think I'll go with Nokia this time or newer version Iphone - tickets to the World Championships to ski jumping (they are in 20 days in Oslo) -new products.

I am going to write more to this blog about my product addiction which we could call commercial addiction. I always want to try new shampoos, balsams, lip balms you name it. So more likely this blog is going to be about products, clothes, things that I like and discover. Also what is going with my life lately.

Thanks for reading the first blog, I am trying to keep this weekly habit. And comments, questions whatever, I will answer!

These pictures are what I have been shopping lately or just fancying. Peace

Kiehl's hand cream keep my hands really soft and I don't have to add it many times turning the day
Marie Claire UK is addictive. Lots of info about life around, not just fashion
Mac is good machine for blogging and other things too, my Iphone goes everywhere with me
Hooked. The TV serie came out when I was little girl, but now it is more informative sometimes than the news on TV. The fashion on the films was great. If "ordinary" people could dress like that...
Yoga has been big part of my life over ten years. Best memories with yoga comes from US and training in Cali
Organix coconut milk gives the soft look and shine to my hear. I spray this always after shower, specially if I have taken sauna
Shiseido, keeps my skin out of zit zone. Perfect creams to have under make up, but never disappoints me in the Scandinavian winter weather
Why don't they sell Secret deodorants in Scandinavia. My biggest orders are these. Love how the peach deodorant smells on me all day
my party tools NYX glitter, 17 blush and givenchy mascara, but add the mascara with other brush. Otherwise it is going to be all over your eye lid
Burt's Bees shampoo and conditioner, bought from Ebay. Again, why don't they sell it in Norway. This product is full of natural ingredients, leaves my hair so clean. Never felt my hair so clean.
Best perfumes in the world; Bvlgari and Jessica Simpson Fancy!
I like her Style, don't copy no one style, take inspirations!
Abercombie and Fitch; great quality. This is my favorite T-shirt
That's how it looks on me, and my initials A&F ;)
Hennes&Maurtiz is genios when you don't have too much of money to spent on clothing
A&F again. One of my work shirts.
 Love this color, it's vintage.
Cardigans can't girl never have too much
